  New Light on Sheep and Goats?

  lloyd evans has just tweeted a video he will be releasing soon on the "change" to the meaning of the sheep and goats and when that is to occur.. i've missed any discussion on that on here or anywhere?

  it seems it was part of the 2020 annual meeting the gb had?.

  any info on this?.

  Lloyd’s videos are primarily aimed at those that are leaving or newly left, not to help those who have been out for years, the devil is in the detail, he does a fantastic job in this regard

  i still like the commentary on the jw.org monthly’s, i can skip through some parts.

  but it seems like he is pushing too hard to put out videos and the quality is getting very low on the content..

  I understand it’s easy to criticise what he did with the crisis of conscience but for those of us waking up at that time it is probably the single most important book to read to help with that process, it wasn’t available, easy to say what he did was wrong but I for one thank him for doing it and I’m sure I’m not the only one, it is a matter of timing on when you woke up
  
  I think I feel sorry for those criticising him, he has helped hundreds if not thousands of people wake up, Whilst going through the most traumatising period of their life he has been a voice of reason with all but Un-faulting accuracy, You don’t have to like him,you don’t have to like his methods, you don’t have to watch him, but the lives of many many people would be worse off if he hadn’t produced the series of videos that he has produced,
  Those of you who are fully awake and have been for many years generally seem to be the ones that don’t like him but a lot of his videos aren’t really for you guys,
  When i read through this thread and look at the faults that he has then compare them to the good he has done I would be embarrassed to point out any faults
  Myself I have pretty much moved on from watching his videos, to watch a two hour YouTube commentary on JW is more than I would want to watch now however a few years ago I simply couldn’t get enough,
  Personally I would only ever want to thank the activists that have put in huge amount of time and effort, including Simon on this forum, XJ W analyser, Barbara Anderson, fifth , Kim and Mikey, XJ W critical thinker, And the many others of course including John Cedars

  I was in the process of waking up when I was offered to become a ministerial servant, I accepted as it seemed too difficult to turn down. Really brought it home to me that it was nonsense because there was no way I should have been made a ministerial servant with the thoughts I was having at the time

  i think everyone has heard about the video at the convention a few years back where an older ‘brother’ relates that “some were selling their homes” pre 1975, and it makes it look like the rank and file are stupid.

  it shifts the blame to the r&f.

  no mention of the km that advocated it.. and you have all seen the km that said it, and that it was the may 1974 km.. however, it was not.

  Circuit Overseer to Answer My Questions + Concerns...or Not

  hello all, i'm 'researching', a jw who is in the first steps of taking a look at their beliefs.. i've semi-recently (about a couple weeks ago) heard about the sexual abuse cases (pennsylvania attorney general’s investigation request) and then the arc in 2015. this lead to a deep investigation, which lead to many questions arising.

  a jw friend of mine suggested i be careful (due to apostates) and ask the brothers.

  so i typed up my questions + concerns and emailed an elder my mother has known for a long time.

  Well done for doing the research, it is important to fully understand your subject so when the elders or CO give an answer you don’t allow them to brush you off or focus on the less important questions while skimping over the really important questions, find one or two really important points and stick with them until you Get satisfactory answers, for me an important question regarding child sex abuse is-

  if we are living in the time of the end and JW’s are gods only true people on Earth and they have the job of sanctifying or vindicating his name then when the elders have been through a judicial with an accused paedophile and they only have one witness so they leave it in Jehovah‘s hands and then the paedophile commits another crime, why would Jehovah allow this? Why would he want his name associated with child sex abuse? Why wouldn’t he want his name to appear exemplary?

  I’m not sure if this is what you’re looking for but I really hope you do find the real truth behind the matter
